The United Kingdom's Tatler magazine bestowed Amanjiwo with a 'Benchmark Brilliance' award for excellence at a star-studded gala in London in December 2008. The property was one of only a handful of awardees to be singled out at this event, and will be featured in the Tatler Travel Guide 2009 highlighting the 101 best hotels in the world, which also includes Aman at Summer Palace, Beijing and Amangani in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
